Fellow Watchfreeks,
I was in Lebanon on holiday recently and came across this cool historic Orient sign on one of the main downtown streets (Hamra St.)
Not sure exactly how long this sign has been there - been definitely before the '75 civil war. It still is in great shape!

Tried to fix the alignment of the photo (portrait - not landscape), but was not able to.
How can I correct this?

Great pic of historical significance

Orient was always popular in the middle East. In Australia Orient was a common brand in the 70's/early 80's and I suspect in Lebanon and Asia. I believe there was a huge market in Russia as well.

Thanks for sharing that.

I love my Orient watches. They are probably the best value watches on the market. So it is sad to hear that they may be phased out in a re branding exercise with Epson.
