I remember my 1st watch. Bought it when I was 13 y.o.
I'm 79 now.
Saved the money from doing yardwork for my neighbors.
It was a WW2 A11. 36mm. Had the 359 cal movement. I
bought it from a nearby pawn shop. $40.00. A11's were made
for the WW2 military by 4 contractors. Mine was made by
Hamilton.
Mr. A11 and I parted company when I sold it to get a RR
grade pocket watch for my use as a fireman on the CRI&P RR.
