Yes, evidently that one you are showing on top. (Righthand wound
version) was very rare in comparison to the one on the bottom. Or
left hand wound model.😮 It looks like the version on the bottom is
the one you see most of the time, or almost all of the time. (y)

Honestly don’t think I have ever seen that top version, and unless
the dial has been turned, it’s supposedly extremely rare.

Check out this link for a look at one:

It should be noted I don't know much about Omega but from what Sir AtomicTom has posted the watch you are interested in seems to be on the up and up... ;)

:) I’m no expert either Sir Accutronitis. 😊😄 This one in which
Gary Seven is showing to us is totally new to me. Which is great,
because finding out something new like this is really energizing to
be completely honest.

Thanks so much Gary Seven !

I'm glad I have made someone aware of this watch. Rolex is most widely known for the association with COMEX, however, "Since 1968, Omega was working with COMEX to create the ultimate saturation diving watch, the so-called PloProf (Plongeur Professionnel = professional diver). Omega knew of the problems with exploding watches as their Seamaster 300 had gone through the same issues. Unlike Rolex, Omega engineered the PloProf from scratch to make it impossible for helium to even enter the case. "

For Hydra 1, Omega provided COMEX with five special PloProf prototype watches. PloProf was short for Plongeur Professionnel = professional diver.
