These watches were requested by, and designed for, the U.S. Special Forces Green Berets and one model for the Navy SEALs. The collection is named for Sergeant Major Walter L. Shumate, a legend in the Special Forces community and the man who was instrumental in the creation of the Special Forces Underwater Operations School.
The Shumate Dive watches feature 500 meters water-resistance, 50 layers of SuperLuminova for excellent viewing in darkness, a slightly domed sapphire crystal, sapphire exhibition casebacks, hardened ceramic dive bezels, helium release valves, the outstanding caliber 9015 automatic movement (except for model 11113), Italian leather straps, fully screwed-link steel bracelets, and surgical-grade stainless steel.
