They are launching on Kickstarter......https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/astburyandkent/1930s-dc-3-inspired-automatic-watch?ref=5aftlk

Well, I have to say that I think the watches look really nice Terry,
and love how you evidently literally have a piece of history right
there on the dial. 馃槑 I mean it's great for aviation watch fans, but
also just history buffs honestly. (y) Between that piece of the DC3,
the classic style, dueling cool dials, and authentic style straps, it
looks like a hit !

Want to thank you for taking the time to show them to us, and
also wish you good, or great luck. Welcome to the forum also
by the way ! 馃檪

To Dutch ears the brand name is very unfortunately chosen. It sounds equal to 'stront' and that means faeces. It's a very nice watch for the Kickstarter price. Very nice indeed. I hope you pull it off!

Thank you for the feedback, we put a lot into the design and details such as the
cotton canvas strap AND a vintage leather strap both coming with quick release
spring bars! So glad you like them......we are looking at having straps made
from 1930's seat belt material .

You are very welcome Terry, but it seems the thanks goes to
you for showing these watches to us. 馃檪 Along with filling us
in on all of the extremely cool details not only right now. But
what you have planned on the horizon ! Very unique, as well
as classic at the same time Terry. Which is a really fantastic
combination. (y)(y)

That is kind of you to say.......we just want to make a nice classic watch which
people enjoy wearing something a bit different from all the other stuff out there.
I designed the Aston Martin Tourbillon last year and meet with AM design
director to talk about having it made...see the image.

It definitely looks as if you are accomplishing that Terry. 馃槈 You look to be
creating watches that both watch people, and non watch people will really
enjoy, and that's not easy to do. 馃槃馃檪Wow, this Aston Martin Tourbillon
is spectacular too ! Looks like you guys can do it all honestly. It's so much
fun to see, along with find out about. ..Thanks so very much for all of the
info, and insight !

Very nice. I also love the white dial. Am I correct in assuming it has a screw down crown since it's water resistance is 200m?

So now that I've had a chance to look at the website, I really like the vintage Italian leather strap, but I am not a fan of the canvas strap with riveted eyelets. My Citizen Chandler Field Watch came on a green canvas strap with riveted eyelets. And after putting it on for a photo and taking it off afterwards, I decided to remove the strap and stick it in a drawer. I'm contemplating if it is worth my time to give it away or throw it away!

Here it is in my drawer

And here is the watch on the strap I like way more

I guess with anything it boils down to an individuals taste/feel/experience. My experience is that the riveted eyelets made the strap less flexible and harder to clasp.

I have the same watch and strap. I actually wore the watch with that strap for about a year and then changed it over to leather. It's a well made strap but not as comfortable as I'd like it to be. The watch itself is fantastic and deserves to be on a better strap......hence the leather.

Don't wish to sound negative, but it's another Flieger type "A". I have a Flieger "B" and I only spent a minimal amount, because frankly, they all look the same. I am sure the quality is good, and if you like, enjoy it
