Not sure if everyone had time to see these already.

This new Rado Captain Cook Over-Pole takes you back to 1962 with
it’s design, and is even limited to 1,962 watches. Having specifications
like a 37mm stainless steel case, bi-directional bezel with laser engraved,
lacquered cities on black ceramic insert, silver, and black gradient dial,
beads, or in this case, “grains of rice” bracelet. In addition, the 17 jewel
Rado caliber R862 is right there behind things. (Base ETA 2804)

I like it. Most Rado’s don’t hold their price well on the used market. Hopefully I can catch a good price on a used one, but I doubt it.

That’s interesting how Rado watches evidently don’t hold their
value Trip. 😲

No matter what though, I’m so happy that you, and w4 liked them
so much. 😀 Here’s hoping a couple of nice used ones pop up
for the two of you down the road. 😉

Rado has been advertising on the local TV / Youtube, especially the Captain Cook. I have to say it looks nice in the ads (it has to) but I would have to see it in person, previous versions were a bit underwhelming.

It definitely looks great from here that’s for sure. 😎 Seriously, just
the idea to look back to 1962 for these was cool, and helps to make
these surpass previous versions perhaps. ..They look like they hit on
all cylinders Hector.

The only thing that might bug people is the 37mm size I guess. But
it’s evidently staying true to the original.

I always try to imagine how watches like these would be in person
too. Because the pictures often only give half the story. ..I bet these
are, or would be even more beautiful in the wild as they say. 😉
