I had been looking for an older Oris "Big Crown" model
for quite some time. The majority of them seem to suffer
from high prices and the lume falling off the hands.
When I recently saw the newest BC3 that was actually
redesigned in 2016. My interest piqued. When I found one
with a nicely brushed case for $400.00. It was a done deal.
Came on a "Swiss" rubber strap which barely fit my slightly
less than 7 1/2" wrist. Good thing about the rubber is it
doesn't pick up lint like silicone but is almost as soft. My first thought was, this watch
deserves a bracelet. More on that later. Anyway, list of goodies includes,
Oris caliber 735/Sellita SW220-1 with a nice Oris rotor
on it and day/date at 6 o'clock.
Screw down big crown with huge crown guard.
Sapphire crystals front and back.
42mm nicely crafted case with 22mm lugs that are
unfortunately not drilled for such a high end watch.
Rubber strap with signed buckle and tang clasp.
Being more of a pilot/dress watch and not a diver,
I can forgive the paltry 100 meter water resistance.
That's about it for now. Bracelet is on order. Will post
when its operational.
Do I like it ??? :biggrin1: Now for some bad photography.

Thanks for the re view, I was considering purchasing the gun metal PVD version of this watch, but now after finding out the strap won't fit I'm giving it a pass.

I have no idea why all these Swiss brands are making their straps so short now, perhaps marketing more for the smaller wrist in the Asian Markets?

My Oris 65 tropic strap was more then long enough, and the canvass strap model was as well?

Wow, talk about bang for the buck ! :jaw: This watch out of this world
here Forza. :alien: :) ..I mean it has such a phenomenal look that stands
out in the crowd. But then still somehow feels classic. Almost as if it
is some cool new offspring, or relative of a past legendary watch model.

Just the case alone takes you back, but then the dial, and all the other
countless details amaze modern wise ! :smileyface_hand_cla ..HUGE congrats Forza !!!
