Hey everyone, just saw this new Junghans 1972 Automatic FIS Edition.

Did you by chance see it?

The watch helps celebrate Junhans being timing partner for the FIS
Nordic World Ski Championships. With details like a 46.9mm stainless
steel case, 300m WR, sapphire crystal, double crowns, with snowflake
engraving on the GMT crown, white dial with dark blue minutes track,
red, and blue internal 24h GMT ring, neat lumed hands, and markers,
automatic calibre J830, plus integrated steel bracelet, and rally straps.

Some pictures for you...

Monochrome, and Junghans with much much more...

Small correction... the watch is water resistant to 30 bar, which is +/- 300m...

(y)😉Fixed it sir, can't thank you enough for catching that. 🙂

It's a very cool looking watch right?! Even though it's not a true
compressor case, it feels like it with the dueling crowns. And the
colors, along with rally straps are a neat touch I had thought.

Thank you very very much for the heads up, and of course
your two cents Hector !!!

Another one with no contrast between the hands and the dial... What is wrong with these people. Don't they know you're supposed to tell time with these things !!! The rest is to bright for me. Very meh for almost 2k.(n)

Actually didn’t notice the price when posting Geno. Wow ! o_O
Was thinking somewhere between $400-$600 maybe at
the very most. But not nearly $2000. 🙁 Am with you on
that, along with the no contrast thing ! ;) It would have
been great if maybe just the outer edge of the hands were
outlined in a darker color. Imagine one being outlined in
red? Then the other blue?

That would have worked right? ..Can’t thank you enough
for your thoughts on these sir !!!

I think their studio photography is not helping the contrast between the hands and face, but indeed it may be hard to read in some lighting!

As regard the price, in Euros with VAT it's €1'590, so not that bad. Similarly priced to watches from Mühle, Nomos, Mido, Longines, etc. I guess it depends if it floats your boat or not.

Seems Junghan's J830 movement is actually a slightly modified Grand Seiko 9S51 from what I can find.
