Hi guys, I just wanted to show off my new Hamilton. I'm mostly a Seiko guy, and like mainly solars and autos. This watch is my first Swiss, and so far I'm really liking it. Accuracy has been a little fast, approximately +15 a day, so on the edge of its range. It's not a daily wearer, so it's adequate for me. The weight is nice, it wears large enough for me (~8.3" wrists), the Lume is barely there, which I appreciate on a more dressy watch. The one negative is the bracelet. It's comfortable, and I was able to get a good fit just by removing the half link. The trouble is the latch. It's gorgeous, comfortable, unique, and prone to randomly open when I bend my wrist too sharply. So far it only happens when I'm doing things like putting a jacket on, but a tad annoying. I think I'll be looking for dressy brown leather strap with a deployment clasp soon.

Still, this watch is great. The dial is gorgeous, pictures don't do a great job at showing how it looks on the wrist. It's fairly easy to read as well. Better than I thought actually.

It's a thumbs up, but would be even better with a slightly tweaked clasp on the bracelet.

Cheers,
Chris

I'm going to try that, but first I'm going to look for a nice brown leather strap with a deployment buckle.

Spent 45 min on the Hamilton website this afternoon.
I know where this is leading...

Beautiful, classy watch. Do enjoy!

Cheers.

Gorgeous! LOVE the way it looks peeking out of your shirtsleeve.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a black dial Valiant rather than keep saving for something more pricey. WatchFreeks are so luck to have a maker like Hamilton to provide classy Swiss watches at such affordable prices!!!!

Enjoy that Jazzmasater!!!!!

Hamilton

Hello,
While I'm not new on this site Im new at posting.
i really enjoy reading about the different watches and different opinions.
i have a small collection that includes several Luminox, Swiss Army,
A Rolex GMT Master, circa 1988 18K and SS. couple of Seiko's.
I have a question regarding the Hamilton, how does it compare to Tag, omega
Maybe the Seiko GM.
Thank you all for a great sight
Regards
Joe M.

Hey isn't +15 per day too much for a new watch ? I have a serviced 1966 Longines that gains 14 seconds per day. o_O

In this particular case....1966 Longines.....I'd say 14 seconds is satisfactory

Very nice, not too dressy, not to sporty, sort of Aqua Terra-ish.
