I have around £900 or maybe £1000 to spend and was looking at buying an Omega Seamaster. The co axial one is way too expensive so I can only purchase the normal 300 and I have heard bad things about it.
The other watch I was looking at was a Sinn 104.

I just don't know which to buy. If I really wanted, I could buy the co axial omega but coming from a working class family, I will get the lecture. So I don't really want to go over 1000. The only reason I am spending that much money is because I don't smoke and I don't drink so I can buy something whilst I have the money.

What would you guys suggest ?
Would you go with the Seamaster 300 (not the co axial one)
Or the Sinn 104
Or is there any other watch for around that price which is better ?

Thanks in advance people !

Crap, you are going to get tons of opinions. You can only get an Omega in that price range used and abused. The Sinn is a better value if you want to buy new. Plenty of options in that budget you haven't listed too. You are also possibly spamming. In which case, buy a Sturhling.

If you have to ask, then none. I'd go on watchrecon and keep scrolling, taking notes if you like something. Then Google their images (wrist shots) and compare. Also go on eBay and narrow the price range to what you're looking and click on condition to specify new or preowned, take your time. If it doesn't look irresistible, then keep looking. All we got is time, take yours.

It happens. But, seriously, if an Omega is what you really want, I would strongly suggest saving up a bit longer and getting what you want. I was waffling on buying a cheaper watch instead of an Omega. If you don't buy what you want, you'll still want it after you buy something else. That said, buying an Omega can also lead one to wanting more expensive, shiny things.

Yes, Omega if you must
Save a bit more
Look at craigslist as well
Quartz at $1000

Coaxial.. Be careful of models a,b,c, earlier versions
Some can be door stops.

Be careful and always look at watch threads for the model you may be looking at

I know of some deals for less than a grand, many in fact you can latch onto
Also check with DAIVD OVER AT WATCHSELLERS. ASK HIM FOR A DEAL

It's hard to beat a Sinn for the money. If you pick one up slightly used on the forums you should save significantly off the retail price. In your price range I think a Sinn is probably a better value. Just my 2 cents.

Omega cost alot more than a Sinn. I read somewhere on the internet that Omega deliberately put inferior parts in its sea master so it will fail faster. The user would have to pay alot for service. I read the posting 5yrs ago. I don't trust Omega anymore hence I avoid that brand like the plague.

I bought my Sea Master 300 James bond blue dial a long time ago before Omega raised its prices. My Omega was the same one wore by Pierce Brosman in the movie with Haly Berry

If it's on the internet, it must be true

This makes no sense... I respect your opinion but the Swatch Group makes plenty of money. It would make no sense at all for them to intentionally put inferior parts into their (arguably) best selling and most well known prestige brand. An Omega can be taken to any independent watch repair business instead of sending it to Omega for service. Plus, Omegas now have a 4 year guarantee...

The co-ax movements are absolutely superb. It's hilarious that a few faulty movements a decade ago are still referenced whenever these movements come up.

You'll be hard pressed to find a more consistent movement over the long term.
