I have a chance to make a trade with someone on another site. he has a raymond weill sport chrono with the big date at 12. Other than desk divers it is in great shape as he says he had it for only a month. I got a chase-durer conquest in a trade that is a tad too large at almost 49mm and he is willing to do an even swap. Would you do it?

Normally, I wouldn't trade an auto for a quartz (I assume CD is an auto), but I would for the Raymond Weil. If the CD is a quartz . . . I would for sure.

All of this is written with the understanding that I am not a CD fan (and I'm a big Raymond Weil fan).

I cant really advise you but i will say that Raymond Weil make some great watches, they have had some good reviews.

Nobody can really help you....you need to go with what sings to you....there is no right or wrong answer....what will you enjoy more is the one you should own.....try to avoid nice watches that sit in your box and never make it to the wrist....JMHO

YEAH, THECD IS A QUARTZ. GREAT WATCH BUT 2 PROBLEMS, IT'S A LITTLE TOO LARGE AND THE DAY,MONTH IS VERY SAMLL AND HARD TO READ.

That one is 48mm (with crown) and the one you are trading you said was to large and the same size? Are they the same size?

If you like both of the watches equally then I would say the Raymond Weil for a variety of reasons including long term value of the brand.

I like that Raymond Weil model a lot.

Just got the weil and I am glad I did the swap. Beautiful piece. Very comfy on the wrist and the lume is the best I ever had. I will post pics tonight.

Agree you made the right choice but I have a Chase Durer Conquest and love all things Chase Durer. Enjoy the RW and post some pics.
