My current laptop is getting old and suffering from a few issues. So I'm in the process of putting a laptop together to suit my needs which is mostly image processing for my photography hobby. So I bought Dell Inspiron 15 500 series with a 5th gen. I7-5500u processor
Nvidia GeForce 920M 4gig video
8 gigs ram
1TB hard drive
I'm going to upgrade the Ram to 16gigs Ballistix from Crucial. Already bought.
And I have a 500 gigs Samsung EVO850 SSD on the way. This should be my next laptop for the next 5 or so years.
The drive that is in the new laptop will be converted into an external hard drive for storage. Case has been ordered.
I missed Fedex yesterday found the dreaded you were not home sticker on my front door! I won't be missing them today..;)

Not if you're into photography. Add processing to the equation and 1tb gets small quickly.
Very true. When working with RAW files I can easily take a couple gigs of pictures in one day.Which is probably why I have about 15TB of external storage set up.
