Thanks so much AT :). I鈥檓 afraid not all my builds have gone smoothly. This one took months to pull together. Largely because of the need to hide the movement spacer.

You are very very welcome, and really, all the thanks goes to YOU ! 馃榾
Because these watches are so much fun to see, I can't even put it
into words really. :D :) First off it's extraordinary how you seem
to be able to come up with a concept, or have an idea, and then
presto, there's the watch ! o_O AND it can be something extremely
elegant like this rocking Royal Oak stunner, or something cutting
edge cool like these B&R beauties !!

It's unreal actually, and really love how detailed you are with the details
too by the way. 馃槈Along with how you will change the smallest thing
if it doesn't work for you, or make you happy. ..That is impressive, as
well as shows just how dedicated you are YNWan. ..It's terrific !

All of these watches are, and so was this update ! ..Thanks a ton !!!

Not a massive change but I鈥檝e changed the crown for one that鈥檚 a little larger and also a bit lower in profile.

My next build is a cushion case with a vintage pilot theme (I鈥檓 just waiting on a couple of parts). Then there will be a full carbon fibre cased diver and a silver version of the B&R style. I鈥檓 also planning a transparent sapphire cased build using a skeleton ETA movement.

馃槻:cool: :D

It might not be a huge change like you said YNWaN, but it
actually makes a big change in how the watch looks. ;)
Not that the other crown didn鈥檛 look great, it鈥檚 just that the
new crown changes things up nicely, and looks terrific too.

Wow, come to think of it, you could change the crown, or
another detail, or two every month, or so, and have a brand
new watch YNWaN. :)

P.S. can鈥檛 get enough of that cool crystal, and how it makes
the dial look like a different color as well. Wow, really appreciate
the update with this !

Thanks Tom, your comments are hugely appreciated. I wore this one today and blooming love it! I鈥檓 excited by the next build too - got most of the parts today. It鈥檚 going to be a cross between a dress watch and an aviators watch. Polished SS with black and hints of dark blue. This is the dial it will use, assuming it ever arrives鈥.

I can see why you love it, it's an extraordinary watch. :cool:馃弳

Something that both you, as well as all of us can appreciate. Because
it's not only a terrific looking watch, but one that you actually put together. ;)
To me it's amazing, and am thinking it has to be a dream to actually be
creating your next watch, rather than buying it. (y)(y)

Can't wait to see this next one either YNWaN. Thank you so very much
for both the look, as well as news !!

I鈥檓 still waiting on a couple of parts - the dial (the first bit ordered but likely the last to be delivered) and a blued seconds hand. I鈥檝e got a regulated movement all ready to go (Seiko NH35) and even a strap. Yesterday I assembled the case (lovely polish on it). It鈥檚 got a slimline back, an oversized crown and a top hat sapphire crystal (with multiple clear AR obviously :)). Today the main hands were delivered - polished 鈥榝inal fantasy鈥.

You are amazing YNWan, a real magician actually. 馃槻馃榾馃槑
Really appreciate the updates !!

The way you have a plan, and then are able to execute that plan is
astounding imho. Plus you talk about everything like it is so easy too. 馃槉
Seriously, the 'Final fantasy' seems like something that would take
forever to complete, but it sounds like a piece of cake to you. 馃槃
Then on the side you are also perfecting patinas at the same time !

Extraordinary stuff !

o_O馃槷馃弳:cool: O.K. that is just too good YNWan !

What's unbelievable, is the watch parts by themselves that were
separate had looked extremely cool beforehand. However, now
that we are seeing the finished product, it's astounding ! 馃槻 Just
the dial itself with those wonderful designs on them looks so much
different now that the watch is assembled. Even the hands are
out of this world, as well as not something we see every day in
the watch world. Honestly, the entire combination is you guessed
it, ..magical ! 馃榾

Want to thank you for sharing it with us !!!

Amazing work !

Tom, thank you so much, you are the king of encouragement 馃槑馃槣馃憤.

The dial is funky, it鈥檚 by a one man outfit called SeikoDials who just does three different dial designs. What makes it unusual is that it鈥檚 actually made from circuit board and the silver traces are electrical circuit tracks. All this means there is nothing else quite like it. Unfortunately the dial has no lume but the hands do.

The seconds hand is from a set I bought from eBay. Although they were claimed to be for the NH35 movement I found the seconds hand to be way too long. On the plus side I trimmed it down so that it exactly fitted and it now reaches almost to the chapter ring.

As, I wanted it to be 鈥榮mart鈥, and I wanted to try something different, I drilled the dial at the 6 o鈥檆lock position and mounted a sapphire (a real one) in it. The idea being that it would complement the blue of the chapter ring and seconds hand.

Anyway, I鈥檓 pleased with the result and have been wearing it since its completion (I鈥檝e got it on now) - keeps very good time too.

I鈥檝e now ordered and commissioned the parts for my next build - it will include an entirely custom dial, chapter ring and bezel insert.鈥
