My answer will not please her when I give her the total since August 1st 2009, Just from the Shop I have received 82 watches, 2 tower cases, 5 more on order. Lucky she did not ask the total from all sources. Lets see, 82+12+13+3+4+3+15+?+?+?+?, that's more than I think I want to tell her about, I keep telling her I don't smoke, drink, go out and blow money because I am bored. I only have two hobbies, watches and gems.

Help me with some rebuttal answers if she remembers the question. I will need a few for the next week or so. We both watch Jim when he is on, She is always telling me what looks good. She has pushed me on a couple of buys because she liked them. Soooooo, I don't think I am into much trouble, guess I will just have to spread them out over a longer period.

Please let me know how you handle the question when it arises at your domain and what you need to do to get things wright again.

I have purchased about 5 watches in that time period from the Shop. what slowed it down considerably was the fact that I quickly found you could buy the same watches ELSEWHERE FOR LESS if you waited a week or 2 or a month. The endless watch selling websites seemed to have better pricing then the shop on just about every single watch I personally wanted.

I absolutely agree with this statement. I have been saying this for a long time. Be patient and you can almost always get the same watch for a lower price then the Shop.

I dont have as many purchases from shopnbc -mostly due to 2 facts -

1- the pricing as mentioned by others
2- the fact that in NY you now pay taxes

this lead me in other directions

ALTHOUGH - the VP's can get addictive and also

in 2009 i estimate i bought around 60 pieces -most for me and some for gifts etc

this year i dont know if i'm buying anything -my last purchase of a watch was on 01-03-10 -it was a Seiko and now i am looking to reduce my collection by selling/gifting away watches i just dont wear -

it would be nice to get down to 10-12 watches but realistically i'm shooting for 24

got 33 right now so i need to lose about 9

good luck with the wife - i know mine has had it with my childish buying thingy!!!
