Mont blanc watch in pawnshop, is it real?

8451 Views 43 Replies 25 Participants Last post by  scotty
I put a watch on layaway at my local pawnshop today. The pawnshop says it's authentic but won't let me take it out and have it checked before I buy it. I have looked for a similar watch made by mont blanc online and have not been able too. Does anyone know or has anyone seen this watch before? Any idea if it is real?

Do they guarantee it is authentic or money back, in writing?

The biggest thing is, the store won't guarantee it as real/original.
That's not good.
The one store I go to, that buys watches, will give you a certificate of authenticity for any watch they sell.
That's the thing...they had to have taken it in as a pawn or bought it from someone. So they know that it is not real or are real dumb...sounds super shady and I would not buy anything from that shop!

Do they know if it is stolen? Probably not...
