Isn't it something how something like watches can be in your life, and then
one day you realize just how amazing they are tmoore? :) You go from
thinking they are are interesting, and intriguing. To out of this world right?! 馃榾
It's really is neat, and I guess it's different for everyone who gets into the
hobby. But it's just THE best hearing, as well as seeing that you have had
an appreciation of watches. (y)(y)

By the way, can you remember what watch that was that you were wearing?
Do you by chance still have it? ..In any case, thanks very much for sharing !!!

It was a 'Mr. Bubble' watch I sent off for with box tops or some such. I was a college kid having fun. Wish I still had it 30+ years later now.

(y)(y) Very cool ! 馃槑..Yes, wow that would be something if you still
had it. But hey, at least you have the picture, along with memories. 馃榾
Plus you could always find one similar like FB is showing. 馃槈

Is this the watch in question?

On second thought, that's almost certainly an identical watch. You can see the LCD screen on mine. Plus, being so cheap (free for postage) it makes more sense it was digital. Had the button too.

Don't watch batteries corrode over time? Or do you think one of these NOS watches will work with a new battery?

Sentimental value is kicking in strong. I actually still know the girlfriend that took the picture when we were visiting her mom and grandparents in Florida. Saw a Space Shuttle launch on the trip.

That really depends on how it was stored. Normally, the "button type" batteries tend not leak like AA or AAA can, however who knows with a battery that old ?

A mere $9 for a "gee I wish I still had it" watch? Shouldn't matter if it works or not....

Oh neat tmoore, didn't realize you had picked it up ! 馃樀馃槷

Little did you know this cool picture of you wearing the watch back
in 1989 would lead to all of this right?! :D :) It's sure to bring back
a lot of great memories I'm sure, and will just be a lot of fun to have
back on your wrist. ..A HUGE congratulations on this ahead of time

That is beyond cool actually tmoore, and right away, you are actually
transported back to 1989 right?! :D ..Hey, and it looks like came with
a neat button as well ! 馃槑馃榾Which also makes you smile, along with
appreciate the watch, and time it came from even more. Wow, just wow !

Now may I ask? Does the watch work? Or will it work with a brand new
battery added into the mix? Or will it most likely just be a fun reminder
of yesteryear that you got back in your life? 馃檪Either way, it's pretty
phenomenal that you found it like this. Am so glad honestly. Hope you
really enjoy tmoore ! ..A HUMONGOUS Mr. Bubble congratulations !!!
