I see this (small) William Henry knife occasionally but as it hides in a leather pouch it escapes my enjoyment. Today I took it out and again fell in love.
LDP 189 steel, Damascus finish w/ real jewels on the moving parts.
Purchased strickly for its beauty, it's not a working knife.

Tonight its Jim, anyone care to join me?

Knives are not my thing but seeing this thread reminded me that I have a number of knives that I inherited from my late brother and which have been in storage for around 14 years, some of which are still in their original packaging.
A few photos of some of them

These look like hunting knives of some sort. Still very sharp

The label on the box says Microtech OTF which I found out means "out the front". In these parts we know these as flick knives

The rest are a bunch of pocket knives of differing shapes and sizes.
Now that they've been unpacked, I'll be giving most away to family & friends, some of whom hunt and could use them and I'll keep one or two pocket knives for myself as momentos

Alright those are simply astounding guys !!! 😯😵😮

The steel, the designs within them, as well as shapes of the knives
takes your breath away, or my breath away to be more accurate. 😀
Seeing the swords, and what goes into them, as well as what they
are capable of is phenomenal as well.

In all honesty, knives are so similar to watches with all of the different
types there are. Not to mention all of the countless brands/companies
that make them. ..It's dangerous, because I have to restrain myself
from totally diving in, and getting drawn into the hobby. It seems so
great, as well as so much fun ! 🙂

Is that first
I really like the first "flick" knife with the double edge... wink, wink... :p

Is that first knife a "Double action OTF knife" with "Double action" meaning pushing the "button" forwards extends the blade and pushing it back retracts the blade?

I always wanted one of those but it used to be they were illegal in most places...

BTW a Microtech OTF is what John Wick uses... ;)

Both work that way

Here are some more knives that I'd forgotten about - hiding on a hutch in our kitchen. Rustic and beautiful.
I received them from my mother, she received them from her mother. They were a wedding gift so over 100 years old.

FYI, I purchased another Benchmade, a custom Freek 560/ M4 steel, G10 handles. Hopefully I'll receive it before I go out of state (Monday) for an unknown period of time.

Wrascal, you have it covered both antique wise, as well as modern wise
it looks like !! 😀🏆🥇Just those knives your mom had are incredible to
see by the way. ..Is the one on the right by chance made of wood? ..I
swear that I see a grain going from the handle up on to the blade. 🔪
No matter how you slice it they are amazing, and the new Benchmade
looks amazing too !

A GINORMOUS congratulations all the way around !!!

USPS advises they will be delivering my new Benchmade today, typically around this time of day.
If I can the find time I'll snap/ share some original pics; busy prepping for upcoming road trip (unknown duration).

For sure my Boldr Expedition will travel, my nite time Lume Monster (Aragon) too. Maybe a black Boldr Venture - for back up duties.

Both the knives and forks have wooden handles.
The iron is metal, magnets stick to them.

100M water resistance.

😉Can't thank you enough for the info on those knives sir. 😎

On this side of the screen it was almost looking as if the one was
totally made of wood, so thanks for the report. And the same goes
for the report on that new Benchmade's arrival time.

No matter if you get time to take some pics, or not. I hope that you
like it, or that it is as nice as it looks.

P.S. and I hope you have a safe, as well as fun trip also ! (y)

As promised - here are a few pics of my newest knife: a Benchmade 560 Freek. It's bigger/ heavier than my typical pocket knives but its color contrast drew me in. These colors are washed out, sorry. The G10 scales are deep black w/ gray contrasting, inside, peeking out it's a firetruck red; the M4 blade is satin finished. Everyone likes a pretty face.

Yesterday morning it slayed an amazon shipping box.

Ooh nice Wrascal, a BIG bold Benchmade congratulations here 2 U !!! 😎

Boy oh boy, you have some excellent taste in knives it seems as well
I have to say. 😉(y) And I can see why you were drawn to this looker
to tell the truth. ..Between the color contrasts, wild details, and just all
'Freek'ish cool factor of the blade, and everything. This knife is a real
knockout. 🥊I'd be taking this watch out of my pocket every few seconds,
or at least every few minutes to enjoy, as well as take in it's remarkable
details. It once again seems very similar to a watch in that regard. You
must be a cloud 9 sir.

Oh, and I forget to mention, it's tremendous how the blade picks up,
or mirrors the color of the handle. It looks almost tan from here ! 😮
..What a stunner, ...enjoy !

Whoa, phenomenal shots of this wonder Wrascal ! 😵..Let me wish
you a BIG Benchmade congratulations !!! 😀

I love just the workmanship, or craftsmanship with the blade to tell
you the truth. Between the shape of it, as well as brushing, it's just
mesmerizing. And that's before you see the butterfly on the side of
it there. 😎..Man, that's cool, as are those sleek buttons on the side
of the handle which make the knife feel like a lightsaber, or something.
Talk about out of this world ! ..You have this great blade, as well as
build quality, but then the handle takes your breath away. I mean
the steel is beautiful, but how about the wood part? Remarkable sir !

I'm guessing this will be spending a lot time at your side. 😉
