Anyone who owns an Apple MacBook will know the joys of magnetic charging - and now it’s coming to smartphones.

The ingenious and satisfying snap of the power cord is absent from Apple iPhones but a new Kickstarter project is set to change all that.

Znaps think that smartphones deserve to have an easier charging experience and the £5 device will put an end to smashed phones and fiddly sockets.
The simple gadget fits a tiny plug into our phone charging socket and then the charger itself will magnetically attach to it.

This means that you will be able to hover the cord near the phone and it will snap into place with minimum effort.

And it will also snap off if someone accidentally trips on the cable - meaning your phone will stay exactly where it is.

The Kickstarter page explains: “This is a simple yet perfect solution to prevent frayed charging cables, tripping over cable resulting in smashed phones, pointless fiddling to plug in cable in the dark, water damage through charging outlet, and more!

“This innovative magnetic charging adapter will make your life just a bit more convenient.”

Smartphone users seem to agree as the firm has over 21,000 backers who have pledged a total of $726,000 - way more than its $120,000 goal.
The device is set to be released worldwide in November and will fit in Apple and Android devices.
