I've been collecting watches for a few years ...
  • ... and I now have quite an assortment of quartz and mechanical designs!
____________________________________________

And now that I'm considerably more 'savvy' about what's desirable (and why!), ...
... I sometimes think that maybe I should just sell EVERYTHING (well, almost everything) ...
... and just buy ONE good quartz and ONE good mechanical!
____________________________________________

And if - IF! - I were to do this, at this stage of the game, ...
... I think the following two would definitely be on my short list ...
____________________________________________

- NICEST Quartz: Seiko Premier SRX001/3/4P1 Direct Drive Moon Phase (Cal. 5D88) ...

____________________________________________

- NICEST Mechanical: Seiko SARN001/3 Automatic GMT Power Reserve ...
... with its superlative 4S36A Movement ...

____________________________________________

Only TWO things stop me from doing this; i.e., ...
  1. 1. - The fact that these Seiko's are kinda smallish!

    2. - The sheer 'n certain knowledge that, had I initially puchased ONLY two watches and quit right there, ...
I wouldn't have had nearly the fun nor would I been forced to learn anywhere near what I have!

Those Kenetic Premier autos are unreal. I own a Sportura and a Arctura and they run as smooth as any swiss auto. The are both in the 45-49mm size. The Velatura is in the future for me.I will post pics when I learn how to.

. . . . as an aspiring Seiko Fanboi in training . . . .you really hit a nerve here!!!

Those are two outrageous gorgeous watches!!!!

AND, knowing from your posting, your background and some of what you already own . . . . It speaks volumes that you would EVEN consider such a move to the Seiko brand as your own personal choice of wrist accoutrement.

I feel so much better about my own current, on going obsession . . . Randy.

very nice!! i like the 2nd one and for some strange reason would probably prefer it on a bracelet!!

awesome look - maybe a Tan or DK Brown Leather would look better IMO

both great lookers - personally right now i'm into the 3 hand look BUT these dials
are excellent looking w/o looking too busy!!

Yeah Seiko's got my # these days!!! LOL

WOW, Larry!

I have some research and reading to do . . . I am unfamiliar with both models! :wf

Both watches look great, but I'm sure that what's "inside" may also be the main attraction.

Remembering the timepieces that you have featured over time, I am somewhat surprised (not bashing in any way) to see these (Seikos) as the 2 watches you would keep.
