Inspired by the other thread about Invicta's infamous Limited Editions, found this on the Bay and thought I'd have some fun.

Limited Edition from 2007. Sellita movement, sapphire glass front and back.

Supposedly 1200 made, 400 of each 3 different style. Supposedly diamond markers. Supposedly Swiss Made. Bracelet unmarked but a notable improvement from the Model 2730 I picked up earlier with the bracelet problems (shown in last pic).

Picked up LNIB (or maybe even NIB) slightly under $300 shipped. Watch doesn't look bad at all. Hasn't been used so maybe once I wear it it'll fall apart. However getting it in this condition I might just keep it unused as a conversation piece.

With this post I stake a claim on 1174/1200 and hope I'm the only one!

Enjoy it. It is a classic from the old days of Invicta. Old days = 2007, that is funny.

I'd send it back. Not because it's an Invicta but because of the issue. You paid a lot of money and should receive a watch with no issues. I have a Grand Diver with Miyota 8215 and haven't had any issues. I have a Man of War with SW200 (my wedding watch) that I've never had issues with.

If seller didn't specifying issue, you shouldn't have to pay for it or deal with it, IMO. I don't know much about movements but I have to assume it could get worse in near future and may need another investment to be fixed. I hope it's a wrong assumption.

One more thing, I gotta ask... Conversation piece ?

As for the conversation piece point I said that partly in jest although for me it satisfies the following.
-ownership of a sellita movement
-ownership of an Invicta limited edition which is somewhat controversial
-ownership of an Invicta with diamonds which is also controversial as they could be fake.
A bit confused Chang, Invicta LE,? fake diamonds? this late in your career:confused:
Have fun nonetheless and enjoy it ......;)

Oh ok, I understand now. It does look great IMO and I'm glad it's not a big issue.

Looks like a beautiful two-tone diver.

Do you have one of the Invicta Scuba divers ? I used to have the green and red bezel and now I miss it. Had the Japanese movement and worked great. I'd like to get another one some day or the same one with Pepsi bezel. Another good old line that I like are the Abyss with the Seiko Monster hour markers.

I think your Invicta isn't lacking any bang for the buck.

Love it, I have had the chance to grab these from time to time but usually for more than I am willing to pay. Sooner or later I'll see one for the price I want. The problem with LE watches are that they can change one little detail and remake is as another LE run.

The Scubas with Japanese movements go for $65-110 from what I've seen. I'll take your word on the Swiss ones. I haven't checked. I think I got the green/red bezel for about $71 on the bay.

The Abyss is made by Invicta abs has same shape of hour makers as the Seiko Monster. I want to get one with black MOP for myself one day but I wanna get it at same time as I get a purple MOP Abyss for my wife to match. They use Japanese auto and I believe the older ones use sapphire crystal.

Nope. I replied on the other thread that my 3824 was recently in for service being about 9 years old now and it's been oiled and good to go. I did not ask anything about the small diamond markers. They are very subtle and hardly noticeable on the dial.

Great looking watch. Every watch brand makes a look alike of The Rolex Submariner . I wrote the original warning to Invicta collectors about their Limited Editions. Looked into it closely and never found proof of Invicta duplicating same limited Edition numbers but the problem is within Evines marketing of same. They will tell you how many of each were made and eventually tell you they were all sold out. But what they sold out was a small amount of the first run of the total amount of that Limited Edition not the full amount of the limited edition for that watch.

No...."every watch brand" does not make a "look alike" of the Rolex Submariner".

Jeff:
You bought a used Invicter from the Flea Bay?
That's what I call living vicariously Bro.
I once was a card carrying Invicter buyer. Why not?
Good watches for cheep. But that was back n tha day.
When Evine was Shop NBC. 9937s with either the Eta
2824 or the Selitta 200. Pythons with Isa 8172 engines.
The S A Noma 3 with Ronda and the Corduba with the
Miyota OS10 engines. Then the Dark Force took control.

When you call their service desk in Bollywood, Fla and
a computer generated voice put you 25th in line, it's time
to get outta Dodge and start buying Seiko.Japanese DM
if available.

Hey Jeff:
Always want you as a watch pal. Hope my remarks weren't taken
wrong. I'd buy and have bought EBay offerings in my past. Still better
than some other sellers. CS or nay.
Just saying Invicta is like the old song "The ole gray mare ain't what
she used to be".
Staffed by Tote tha note car salesman personalities. BTW what ever
happened to Brand Mgr Mikey? No good deed ever goes unpunished?
