Maybe at the end of the year we can discuss this - but let's be 100% honest, he is not Carmelo Anthony yet who won it all as a freshman and was the best player by far. Carmello averaged 22 points per game, 10 rebounds a game and 2 assists a game as a freshman AND led his team to the national title.

He is not even Allen Iverson yet, who in 94 averaged 20.4 points a game and 4.5 assists as a freshman in the Big East conference and 25 points a game and almost 5 assists a game as a sophmore.

And let's not forget Kevin Durant from a few years back. He averaged 25.8 points per game and over 11 rebounds per game - as a freshman.

Finally, things have changed now but Lew Alcindor's first season playing varsity basketball for UCLA might not have been officially his "freshman" year, but he was clearly better then Wall his first year playing college ball.
