Gary,
I hate to do it to you, but you will be scratching your head more in a minute.
ISA 1198 have MANY different , identical looking movements, in different sizes. Though the sizes arent more than a few MM in difference .Often you can find plastic movement rings to make any of these movements take the place of another.
For example , the IsA 1198 / 101 os the basic movement with hour , min , and sweep seconds. The ISA 1198 / 103 is the identical movement , with date as well as sweep seconds. The ISA 1198/ 42 is a model featuring time, sweep seconds, day and date. the ISA 1198/52 is the Rolex president styled time , sweep secs, date , with spelled out day of the week at 12 o clock.
I have heard of other variations to this workhorse movement, including aux seconds at 6 o clock. Somewhere on the movement , you will see something written in a long line of numbers like "ISA 1198.52" , and THAT is the exact movement you need to get. Barring that , measure the diameter of the movement, with out the add on plastic ring , if it has one. Do a in general search on google for "isa1198 with ..." and add the functions your watch movement exactly has . search for the size of the movement too when in doubt. Ofrei.com and Esslinger .com both sell replacement ISA1198 movements in various forms.
