Introducing The Electrostatic Accutron Concept Movement, Released Ahead Of Accutron's 60th Anniversary

A very old idea comes to life in a very new movement.
This piece I found absolutely fascinating, I know very little about Accutron in general and this piqued my interest.
I just hope that when it is eventually released it is priced sensibly as I really like the look it is unique.
I hope you enjoy.

That's pretty cool. I have to say I've never really been into the aesthetics of the original Accutron. I could get into this one though.

Unfortunately, I bet it will come with a hefty price tag.

Oh wow Gary, I hope they do decide to make these, or at least variations
of these in the next year, or so ! :eek2:

Just always loved how the watches looked really, and how you could see
right into the futuristic inner workings of the watches, and forget about
the time entirely. ..Honestly wish Bulova would have never stopped making
them. So that's why it's so great to see them making them again ! :smileyface_hand_cla

On top of that, they look like new modern versions, rather than re-issues,
which keeps the classics extra special. While giving us something new that
still pays tribute to the past. ..So neat sir ! Thanks a ton for the post !!!

These are great looking watches but they shouldn't be confused with the Accutron watches of the 60"s and 70's which were "tuning fork" watches that with the exception of the "50th Anniversary Accutron Spaceview" have not been made since back then, This watch while very good looking and I imagine very accurate is not a tuning fork based watch...

I'd really like to see more pictures of the movement itself...

Definitely Accutrontis, going to be fun seeing more of these beauties,
and just this whole look once again ! :) Also will be interesting to see
how the new movement is accuracy wise, and how it compares to the
classics as well.

Just is some cool news all the way around.
