Thanks guys!!
First impressions of the 1970 are good but buying a new watch should never be this much of a headache. It was the worst watch buying experience I've had in the past 30+ years.

Here are some photos of the new arrival (also posted on WRUW).

Interesting the polished and brushed PVD surfaces... I wish they'd thought of that quick-release spring bar thing long ago.

Still trying to decide if I like the rubber strap on it. It's a decent strap but it feels kinda cheap when I compare it to the awesome rubber strap on the TSAR which I was wearing not too long ago.

Looks like a million $ from here honestly Rob ! 😵😀These duel crown
compressor styles always do, and then great dueling finishes Eric talked
about are epic too ! What's neat about it, is you get the best of both
worlds. With the black bringing in the stealth, and tactical vibe, and the
stainless a more traditional side. Even the strap looks nice sir, bringing
in a classic waffle feel. That even looks to be teaming up with the cool
knurled crowns.

It's a toss-up, with these because every area is a highlight. But just love
the dials Rob ! Just the sections, terrific colors, and bold yet classic way
everything is done is exceptional. HUMUNGOUS congrats once again
sir !!! ..ENJOY ! 😉

FYI - I've posted a review of my purchasing experience with the Dan Henry 1970 in the "General Watch Discussions" forum if you're interested. Thanks.
