Hi Felix -
I am not a fan of the rubber/metal bar strap on the watch below, but I LOVE the watch.
Question - Is the "il Capo shown below available on a stainless steel bracelet?

This one - http://www.shopnbc.com/Stuhrling_Original_Men_s_il_Capo_Automatic_Stainless_Steel_Rubber_Strap_Watch/V91192.aspx?storeid=1&track=-20101&cm_re=SearchList-_-N-_-N&page=LIST&free_text=capo

From the listing it looks like the current strap is 24mm. So I guess I could get the watch and then get an after market 24mm bracelet, but was wondering if there was a stock model with a bracelet available ANYWHERE (not necessarily on shopnbc)

If you don't know maybe Larry does. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you!

If I can get it with a big stainless steel bracelet I will definitely buy one. Thank you Felix!

I asked, and the verdict is that a bracelet cannot be fitted on the il Capo. I've worn this watch before, and it's pretty comfortable.

Felix - thanks for the info.

But let me ask you this - so are you saying that I could not REMOVE the rubber strap the watch comes with and just put on my own 24mm Stainless Steel bracelet??

The lugs are normal and would fit a standard 24mm bracelet correct??

Please advise.

Thanks

I can't say for sure, but I know that we don't do that here as a CS job. You can bring it to a jeweler to see if they can do it for you, though.

Felix - my question is this and maybe you can ask Larry, or someone else there.
Simply - can you remove the rubber strap and replace it with a standard 24mm metal bracelet?
Is there any reason why this would not be possible?

Alright, I spoke to Larry, and he says that you can find a generic bracelet that could feasibly fit on that watch, but it'd probably look cheesy. But if you can find a creative guy, it's a possibility that they could strap a bracelet on it and make it look good at the same time. As it stands, we've never made a bracelet for that particular model, but who knows? There's always a chance that we will in future :)

Long story short, you can, technically, but there's no guarantee it'll look nice.

Not sure I want to take a chance on finding a bracelet. The il Capo is ok the way it is I guess but would look better with a bracelet. Now if I end up making a purchase the Madman or the Voyager are now looking better.

see based on this picture -

it seems to me that any well made 24mm bracelet would easily attached to the case and if a rectangle or straight link might/would go on nicely. something to consider.

i agree on this one - on the madman it doesnt look like its possible -but on this one it looks like you could put a bracelet on it with flat ends -like the one you put on your posieden
