With all this badgering back and forth about Oil leakers vs Rice burners, I thought it would be a good idea to slam some photo's down and show what you roll!!!

Sold my HD Fatboy in 02 and purchased this Honda VTX 1800....
I like HD's but had nothing but problems with mine.......every other month it was in the shop and I just wanted to ride.
Trying to sell it now, think I am going back to a Honda VFR (98-01version) if I can find one.

Love the idea of having one someday but will just enjoy your pics for now. Nice. Don't know about the big wheel though.

Yeah, no real skills beyond the big tire kit, braided lines, ignition, etc. and bolt ons........
Still goes like a bat out of hell!!

It's been fun but ready for a change.
My first street legal bike was an Interceptor than I got hooked on GSXR's....raced a Kawi EX-500 for a few years on the track but loved Gixers on the street. Did the Harley thing for a few but as mentioned, problems, problems, problems.....went back to Japanese imports for one reason......push button, go ride.
As I said before, in the end......just ride!:b

What you all think about Victory motorcycles. I've been trying to get my wife to let me buy one. Maybe one of these days.

Personally i would buy a Victory over a harley any day of the week. The main reason is the aggresive designs of the Victory line is far superior to the harley Line. The down side to Victory is the service centers, there is one on every other street corner for harley's and one for every 500 miles for victory. Now this could be mainly due to the amount of work required for Harley Davidsons and the lack there of for Victory? Or it could be just the amount of harleys vs Victory.

Again it is a matter of taste, the Victory's out perform the harleys, yet the dont have that traditional lines if you are into that kind of thing! Nothing wrong with either one, they both make a nice bike, like previosly stated it all about riding not what you ride!

Den, I have always like the Victory line. Even more so as of late, the choices just get better and better. Honestly, I would have liked nothing more than to keep my HD but literally the day I got it back from the shop (3rd time, same issue) my neighbor offered to buy it.......so away it went! I rode with a guy that had an 03 Victory Vegas, nice bike. We traded on a ride once and he was in a hurry to get it back...LOL! It was very smooth and comfortable with a nicer low-mid range power band than my HD....but I think my current 1800cc would blow his doors off today! :%:%

Unfair advantage Seattle, Air cooler vs water cooled brother. Although there are new production V twins out there that will take the VTX 1800, till this day they are few and far between. The new hammer from Victory gets it though, this is what I truly like about the line. You can throw 2K in a 103 CI Screamin eagle kit into a harley and it still wont out run a 1300 VTX!!!

Solid point Rip....unfair, absolutely!!! Love killin 'em off the line!!:b:b:b

those 1800's pull like a mad man out of the hole dont they! Mine loves pulling the front off about 6" when I launch it!

Amen!! Big lean forward when I jump on it or I'm lookin skyward!! I love it when I let someone ride it for the first time. They have no idea what 120 ft/lbs of torque will do (yes some mods gave me about 20 more).....

You would crap if you threw in a set of cams and the big bore kit in it. The 2.0 litre big bore kit and cams made a HUUUUUGE difference!
