I have my mother's Movado watch that I know very little about. I don't know what year it was made in. I also can't tell if the face is surrounded by shinny metal or tiny diamonds. Or what it might be worth. Any other interesting information is welcome. Thanks!
Well, it seems the case / case back is made of 14k gold, so it has a value in terms of scrap.
There is a one with a different shape being offered on eBay for USD 1'500, but includes the original box. The description says it has diamonds on the bezel.
You would need to visit a jeweler to determine if the diamonds are genuine or not.
Other than that, it's a slim / small ladies watch from a few decades ago. Normally ladies watches do not fetch the same prices as men's watches. And then there is the question of whether it runs or not....
Yes, welcome aboard ! 😀 No matter what, this
is an elegant head turner.
I was searching using those numbers on, as well
as on the inside of the case-back there. However,
cannot seem to find anything so far. And don’t
have any first hand knowledge, or expertise to tell
the truth. But really think FBPB knocked it out of
the park with his insight. 😉
