I've put Seiko in my rear view mirror in favor of Citizen/Bulova.
But not entirely. I gifted all but 1of my Seiko Autos and Hand
crankers to a member of this forum
Tired of fooling with setting and resetting nechanicals dur to the
inheirent inaccuracy of mechanicals
My 2 Bulova 262 mhrtz only gained 3 secs in 2019. None of the
Seikos can touch my Citizen quartzies in terms of accuracy

I didn't explain I'm an accyuracy Freek? My bad!

Umm... Well there Art this here Seiko is synced with that wonderful thing called the Cesium Atomic Clock. Umm... That means it will lose maybe one second every 100,000 years or so. I'm thinking that's got your Bulova's trumped. :) The 262kHz's are nice watches though. Got a few myself.

Welcome!

My 2 cents, Citizen Solar pieces have been reliable for me. Matter of Fact, I just had my 2005 model serviced and crystal replaced in Atlanta by the authorized service center there. Watch was and still does run great! It's a keeper.

Respectfully Art, we know that automatic watches in general are not as accurate as their quartz counterparts but inherently inaccurate? Not quite.

With some minor regulating, the average automatic can be very accurate to within or very close to COSC standard

That's because you didn't want to have a head-on collision with another train, right? Ha Ha

I have only ever had one Citizen Eco-Drive fail me and that's because I forgot to screw down the crown before jumping in the pool, otherwise they have been bulletproof, I also have Seiko Solar watches, but as of now I would place my bets on the Citizens.

Welcome. I’m very tempted to add an orange dialled Seiko 5 that keeps popping up on Amazon
