Thank heaven the UK got out of the EU, otherwise I could be waiting many more months for a vaccine
How is the vaccine hesitancy rate there?
How is the vaccine hesitancy rate there?
Low amongst white people, high amongst the BAME community. For some strange reason black and Asian people prefer to believe what they read on Facebook, than from the government or experts. The vaccine has reduced deaths and hospitalization significantly, whilst the EU countries are entering a third phase. Of course, I don't wish harm on anyone, but it proves that attempting to centralise supplied is a big mistake. What about the US ???
It's dropping but still significant with rep voters as the vaccine has been politicized to some degree but not as much as masking up...
Personally, I don't know anyone that doesn't want it which is good... ;)
I should be able to get it close by before too long it seems?
Though I'm not looking forwards to the shot as I hate needles... :giggle:
My wife and I received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine this past Monday. I initially received the first does because I'm a teacher over 50 years old, and my wife has underlying health conditions. Starting Monday, April 5, our governor has declared that all residents 16 and above will be eligible for the vaccine.

CDC is now saying evidence suggests vaccinated people aren’t spreading the virus. Two weeks after my second shot I’ll stop wearing the mask. I was prepared to continue, but the data says it’s a waste and to move on with life.

That said, I think there should be a simple card showing who’s vaccinated and if you’re not, you need to be wearing a mask.
I'm waiting till I can get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, it is the only one out that isn't the "experimental" rDMA type which is a hybrid, not a true vaccine. The J&J vaccine only requires one shot, and that's a bonus as well!

I could get the Pfizer shot tomorrow at the VA, but I'm going to take a pass, too many of my friends who have gotten it had adverse reactions.

I had Pfeizer and had a mildly sore shoulder for less than a day. I would get the mRNA over J&J just because it performs better against the virus. I’ll take any at this point, but glad I got Pfeizer or Moderna.

Well thank YOU Steve, Dennis, and Chaz, and thank goodness
it sounds like all of you have had pretty positive experiences so
far. A lot of times you hear all these stories, with some of them
being a little scary. But I think so much of it has to do with all
of this with the virus being new to us. And unlike other situations,
or viruses in the past. ..We are kind of learning on the fly I mean.

In any case, really is great hearing from you guys about things.
On my end, my mom is set to get the J&J vaccine this Thursday.
So fingers crossed that everything goes well.

Thanks again everybody !
The J&J shot is the safest and you only need one injection. The J&J vaccine is the only true vaccine, these others are rDMA genetic hybrids and have had no long-term testing for side effects. I have plenty of friends who have taken the rDMA vaccines and almost every one of them has had adverse reactions from mild pain in the arm, to being sick with flu-like symptoms for several days.

I'm holding out till the VA has the J&J vaccine, I'm not going to be a guinea pig, and 10 months down the line start growing antlers :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The only person I know who’s had the J&J vaccine had the worst symptoms of everyone I know who’s had vaccines. He was sick for two days.

I think different people react differently to different vaccines and there’s no way to know how a shot will affect us.

You know, was thinking guys, how fortunate we all are to be able to basically
choose which vaccine we want. So far, most of my family members have either
gotten the Pfizer, or Moderna ones, and only maybe felt a little bit tired that
day, or the next night. And my mom just got her shot today, which was the
J&J. So I will report back to you on how everything goes. But, yes, definitely
think different people just react differently, and it's hard to say how any one
person will react. They may have no reaction at all, or could maybe get a
slight fever.

Guess that really wouldn't be that bad though. (y)
I'll just leave this here.

Funny an economics professor playing the role of other professionals and using his fake skill to decide what stupid is. The irony...

In that case think it's the no vaccine column for me then, I managed get by without a flu shot for the last 50 years, so I will take a pass.

I did get a Pnuemonia shot a year and a half ago and I take large dosages of vitamin D3, Zinc, C, and Magnesium, daily so my Immune system is high.

I cant remember the last time I had a common cold!

What Stupid is, is jumping off a cliff without seeing what's down there, just because everyone else is doing it.

I think.all our mothers warned us about that!
I'll just leave this here.
We must have a lot of Stupid People in Arizona then, because we are wide open for business, now no masks for restaurants or bars, no limitations on seating, our economy is up.and running.

Oh and we have just about the lowest COVID rate and deaths in the U.S. I think today it was 500 new cases and 10 deaths.

Guess us Stupid Arizonans are so stupid we figured out this isnt the "Black Plague"

I Thank God I'm Stupid!
In Nevada today it was 278 new cases,10 deaths, and dropping as other states are back on the rise...

With all due respect, This is not an accurate statement at all, I know many "rep" voters who are vaccinated, "reps" weren't the ones who said they wouldn't take it if the previous administration recommended it, that would be the "dems" (the VP)

The people I know who are skeptical wear masks, social distance and wash their hands alot! (They are not Neanderthals) I think people have a right to be a little leary, our government hasn't been exactly the model of truth in decades, and the CDC has been a little inconsistent to say the least, but its a new and there is lot to learn.

so you really shouldn't criticize people if they are a bit hesitant to blindly follow "the science" towards a vaccine that is so new and untested..

I will get it once I'm sure all high risk people are just about done, I don't want to take a shot from a more in need person.

With all due respect, I didn't say all rep voters, I said "It's dropping but still significant with rep voters as the vaccine has been politicized to some degree but not as much as masking up" nor did I ever say it was strictly a rep issue, but there are significantly more reps than dems that say they won't get the vaccine...

And I didn't say anyone was a "Neanderthal" so I have no idea why you would insinuate that?

Also, I wasn't "criticize people" but I was just stating the facts about what was going on here in the USA, the vaccine is hardy untested as it went through multiple stages of trials and then the data was reviewed by the FDA before it was authorized for emergency use, the CDC was not involved in that process nor was the government, and since it was authorized for emergency use by the FDA it's been given to tens of millions of people with no serious adverse effects. plus they are not opening it up to everyone until nearly all the high-risk people have been vaccinated, and the Biden Administration has secured enough vaccine so when it is opened up to everyone the high-risk people remaining won't go without a shot just because you or people like you got their shots, they will still vaccinate both groups at the same time so you shouldn't be concerned about taking a shot away from anyone and you should get your shot when it is available to you.

Thank you...

I'll see you in the WRUW section!

It's not a "debate", It's just the facts of what's happening right now, I was merely correcting the mischaracterization of what I had actually said...

As always you should do what you feel comfortable with as an individual... ;)
Opps, the Stupid People of Arizona (pop. 9 Million) just went two days in a row with NO Covid deaths!
