Don't know if I had some kind of head injury that I wasn't aware of or what, but ordered a total of 8 watches this past weekend.

Got 2 Ocean Ghosts coming for my wife and mom (early mother's day presents)

Got 2 Baby Lupah sets , with 7 straps, coming for the kids(doing really well in school this year presents)

Got 2 Pro divers coming. Ordered these for the kids and couldn't cancel them in time when I found out they like the lupahs better. But, my mother may like one of these over the Ocean Ghost.

Ordered the extra strap set for the lupahs for my wife.

And just because I'm such a nice guy:b, I finally ordered myself an SAS in gunmetal and a rosetone Venom.

I know there is a lot of bitterness toward Invicta, but knock-on-wood I've not had any problems with them yet. I don't really buy Invictas expecting them to retain any big value, I buy them because I like the designs.

There' nothing wrong about that. It's a realistic approach.

You've got some nice stuff coming, enjoy it.

I got my girl a baby Lupah strap set awhile ago and she loves it.

When she's happy, I'm happy. :b

Congrats on all you new watches . . . especially the SAS! :c

Sounds like the family will be sporting some killer watches. :)

I STILL continue to buy certain Invicta watches because I LOVE those designs (and enjoy the quality) as well. However, I have my "issues" and negative purchases that linger in memory. I just balance things. :)

Good for you, Sasquatch! Cool that you're hooking up the fam w/ some watches, and you got 2 of my most favorite designs and sizes on the planet- the SAS and the Venom! I hear ya on the "holding their value" thing...I'm an artist at heart and appreciate the bold, interesting designs that Invicta creates for a decent price (when bought at the right time). I do have a few special pieces that are still worth what I paid, but that doesn't matter cause I'll never sell them anyway, for sentimental reasons. I haven't worn them in 2 years because they're 40mm's, so they are safely in their safe and I just check on them once every month or two to get them going.

My point is, that, although I appreciate a fine timepiece, I get bored with a rotation of less than a dozen watches. The first Invicta I bought was the Akula when it first came out; I was looking for a "beater" so I could stop beating on the pricier ones. Well, that Akula is a tank and it can take a beating like no other watch I've had. That impressed me about Invicta, so I continue to buy more, in other styles I like, such as the Subaqua series and a few Speedways and RD's. I'm okay with half my watches being quartzes- many of them I buy are bought simply because I love the style, and I'm okay w/that. I still have a few "grails" from other brands, but Invicta gives me the fix I need and love in between those other "special, value-retaining" pieces.

So, no need to explain here, bro- it's all good. Just buy what you like and like what you buy. You're no less of a watch guy just because you like a certain brand. In the end, we're all fascinated by an amazing looking watch. So, you go Sasquatch...get your "Freek" on, and be sure to post some pics when those bad boys come in!!!

Way to go. I just saw a great price on the Ocean Ghost auto. I have quite a few Invictas too! I don't hate the brand and I haven't had any problems with them. I'm just not threatened when someone tells the truth about problems they've had.

Congrats Brian sounds like you made out like a bandit. Like everyone has said until Invicta starts checking the quality on their product more better, and gets a handle on it, it's kinda hard now adays to trust what your getting. I hope everything comes to you perfectly alright.!!!!
