New here, I just found the forum. I have an old watch and know nothing about it. It is an Eloga 17 jewel, Swiss movement, manual wind with date. The case is plain, and appears to be chrome. I came by it in a rather unique way. I was stationed in Turkey from 1972-74, and in early 74 my wife and I took a tour to Israel. One day we had a visit to the Dead Sea where we had a chance to go swimming. My wife was wading in the shallows, felt something strange on the bottom and reached down and pulled out this watch. The band had mostly rotted off. I rinsed it off with fresh water, wound it and found it to be working. I have never had it serviced and 41 years later it still keeps good time. I have been using it the last few days, as the batteries in my other watches died and I have not had a chance to replace them so I got interested in it.

Any info would be appreciated.

Well, without pictures I can't help, unless they only made one model watch.
Google it and see what comes up, also look at the images to see if it matches yours

That is such a remarkable story jkingrph ! :) Amazing how
it is actually still working, and a lot of our modern battery
powered watches aren't anymore right?!

Unfortunately can't help you out much on info with this watch,
but will thank you at least for telling the story, and for being
here ! :thumb: ..Welcome !
