Does ETA 7750 chronograph tend to have crown failure?

my Oris TT1 chronograph diver was over haul completely which include replacement of damaged crown.

my local watch maker told me the Titanium TT1 tend to have this problem.:eek:

I would say it's the watch, as your watch maker told you, not the movement.

i have had such failures in new watches when delivered
my first 7750 Ocean7
one on a Tag 2000.. in water no less
and a new from AD in Germany my current Tutima Pacific
on the new ones warranty took care of it. but its odd getting a new watch only to have the crown stem etc.. just fall out.

this can happen on any movement.

my Oris TT1 crown couldn't be screwed down at all. It failed twice in the first month. This is the first time the local dealer sent to Oris repair center for complete over haul. They even polished the titanium case & replace seals, replace oil, rubies, crown.

the case now look polish like stainless steel.

I wonder why the crown failed so fast in the first month during warranty. It was repaired by original dealer.
