I think Perlage is the machine work that is done on Rotors, Clasps, but what he is talking about is on the movement mount on the Skelly Don. At least thats how I read it anyways!
No it was called chasing, I was questioning about the scrolled like patterns usually on the bridge and other stationary parts, but thanks, your answer helped me find much more.
