I once was a big Napster user. When it first came out it was all the rage and everyone was using it. Then it got killed by the copyright people. I don't use anything like it anymore.

I use to use Limewire for music but way too many virus's so I stopped...

Same for me with Limewire in the past, but not any more. Just way to risky now with all the viruses.

I have watched MANY movies online on the variuos movie sites.

Nope, never thought it was quite right. :)

I also was a big Napster user... untill the music industry got their panties in a bunch...:WW:WW:WW now I stay away from all those kinda sites.

I don't cruise the music sites, I don't do much of the newer music. I do cruise JustinTv for movies to watch while I'm at work, helps pass the time when its slow.

I have never used any of those sites. Dont wish a virus
imported post

Never have because I'm not real computer savy!

I might have to plead the fifth on this one.

That would have to be my answer too.

If I did use this type of file I would probably pay the $60 to have the Staples monitored version of McAfee Total Protection Service installed on the computer used to download files. According to the Staples Easy Tech rep that sold me this new laptop, it is a corporate-level anti-virus system that updates itself many times a day and scans files as they are downloaded and won't save them if they are infected with a virus or spyware.

He claims that it doesn't slow your system down.

Mostly music, very few movies, sometimes a program that I need.

the piratebay for software, movies, etc.I download the file to a external drive then do a virus check. 99% of the time, avast or other antivirus programs reads the cracks and keygens as a virus when its not.
imported post

Nope. Too many friends in the music business lost a lot because of those sites. Not that the suits did them any better!

Not me i'm always afraid of getting a virus.
