I've been looking at watches a great deal lately & while many of the women's watches are certainly pretty, I am drawn to the men's watches way more...Do women wear men's watches ?

Oh yeah big time!! and some even like the big honkin watches too!!

my wife has alot of my smaller stuff that i wont wear anymore -they look good on her

she also has ladies watches too but alot of the ladies watches are too small and dainty looking - i can see why women are NOT drawn to alot of them

I would say that the vast majority of women DO NOT wear men's watches. The exception is for female WIS. For me, there's something sexy about a confident woman wearing a larger man's watch. Can't tell you why, it just is.:b

I agree that many/most women will get traditional women's watches, BUT once you get into the hobby you will see many great brands and some larger sizes with the men's models. My wife is a very small person but mainly wears men's models or larger women's sized watches.

My wrist is only a little over 6 in. and that still doesn't deter me from being interested in the bigger watches...I'm thinking I may just have to try some on first to make sure it doesn't look too outrageous...But, that, in itself, sounds like fun too...The thrill of the hunt, so to speak.

ETA ~ I look forward to seeing what Riva has to say too.

I tried getting my wife into the bigger watches, but she prefers the smaller ones. I guess that good cause then she won't wanna wear mine..LOL

The wife has grabbed a couple of my smaller timepieces on occasion. I tell her they look very good on her (sometimes better than her own) but she won't commit to buying a man's watch herself.

Hi Duchess, purchase and wear what makes you happy. The only example that comes to mind is an Indy Car driver who I am a fan of, Danica Patrick. She wears large timepieces and they look great on her. I bought Theresa a large wristwatch, when the sales lady assured me that she wears the same timepiece but in a different color. I know you have great taste. When you decide on a watch please show a photo of it. ....Bob

Just so long as you don't have man hands it's all good.

I was so filled with angst thinking I had a ginormous, manly wrist that I actually investigated women's wrist sizes...This will probably be the only time in my life that I am freakin' delighted to discover I'm average or even somewhat under...Whew.

Ok Duchess here goes..I do hope you had a good Monday before I get started on MY response to your Question.
I tend to stick to 46mm in most of my watches. My wrist is like 7.5 if that.I own one 48mm and thats it. I dont wear those manly man watches like most of the men wear.I go after the girly man watches that most of these guys wont be caught dead wearing.Im really stuck on the white ceramic watches and if they have mother of pearl on them well thats a big plus in my getting it.All the men and women I work with love my big watches and want to see them. They actually started counting exactly how many I own and gave up.Some of those big watches are clearly MENS and they arent for me. I like the tweener watches..(dont look like mens or womens)just kewl looking watches.I really have a lot of different color strap watches too. They all go with my tie dyed shirts..LOL so I dont have to stand there and decide which one to put on for the day, I just grab one. my last purchace was Invicta Yellow Adreline in the Blue ss and I really like that watch 46mm.I also have the white one in that collection which is a 44mm. I wont wear anything that has a Black strap on it either..too manly for me. peace out Dutchess :>)

My wife stopped wearing her Datejust Jubilee (29mm, I think), since I got her some larger pieces (38-42mm). She has a 6" wrist and I think the 42mm Ladies Akula is just THE hottest watch a woman can wear. I've also been seeing many celebrity women wearing mens Rolexes, too, such as Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Biel...even tiny Sarah Jessica Parker wore one on Sex in the City, and her wrist can't be more than 5"!
