I just seen the prototype of the Imperious new watch brand at wg's....Sure looks big and bulky...To be honest I like it..Check it out... Imperious proptype pics link

Yeah I saw that JP. It's definitely worth keeping an eye on.
There was also a preview of the Sea Monkey..or Sea Intruder...Sea Biscuit....Sea Ocean..Sea Sea...Sea Dea EEE FFF GGG...can't remember the name exactly right now...LOL:%:%

:lol:lol:lolSo we are gonna finally see the sea monster...lol...yeah i want to see it on the wrist this watch...I'm not buying it since im on the hunt for a pam 297 but I am curious to see it live...I'm sure plenty of members will be buying this one.

I saw them and I asked Jim the following 2 Questions

1) IS THIS AN INVICTA BRAND or under the Invicta umbrella? Please advise on this. Many of the features do have an "Invicta look"

2) What is the size of these cases? Are we talking 46mm? 48mm? 50mm? or up??

Also, I am moving this thread to the ShopNBC section because as far as I can tell this is going to be a TV-ShopNBC brand. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, but I think that is what this is right now.

Once the brand is officially launched we can see where it falls, lol

James I think I recall Jim saying Invicta is backing this company financially....Who knows..But I do see a lot of Invicta in this watch...

I just looked at the pics again and there are a ton of "invicta-like" features. Again, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that at all, but I just wanted clarification in advance and before I made my purchasing decisions.

I like the automatic that is shown. That looks cool (my guess is that it's a Sellita SW200). I don't care for the green dial version at all (but I won't buy a quartz version anyway -- tired of quartz).

I think I'll reserve judgement on these. They seem to have too much Invicta flavour to me to be anything but another bit of cheesy marketing from the big yellow watch co.

The name and the logo reminds me of all those nasty cheap chinese watches that are plastered all over ebay. I know not all chinese watches are nasty but it just makes me think of them.

There are some nice design elements in the pictures but like in a lot of other designs recently, the big yellow company always seem to be able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory when making a "total package".

I mean can you say Poseidon, yellow adrenaline or even reserve without the latest flavour "Imperious" making you feel just a little uneasy? I know it's supposed to be a different company but hey c'mon do you really beleive this?

It'll be interesting to watch the hype build and see just what happens when the final samples surface! The feeding frenzy will be hilarious to watch [pun intended]!

I think these have to be 100% financed and/or owned by Invicta. I am not saying there is necessarily anything wrong with that, but there are just to many style similarities.

I will reserve final judgment until I see them, but even Jim is using words like "entry level" and alluding to them being lower cost. Again, that is not a bad thing, but I will spend that money elsewhere probably, unless I am really blown away by a design.

. . . looks like another gawdy, over done, pretentious "look at me" design. I have to be honest, but I'm really sick of the over-stated creations coming out lately!!! Can't we just see some nicely done, quality speaks for it, watches come out????

and, I'm no expert . . . but I challenge the statement that the Imperious will be "The Brand" of 2010 . . . . I really doubt that. More hype, to preface the fanboy crowd into a frenzy. I know this sounds like sour grapes . . . but I have to call it the way I see it.

Someone posted on another board - - - " I want to BUY a watch, I don't need to be SOLD one!!!" I think there was far more wisdom in that statement than I realized at the time . . . .

For the record, I think the watch is hideous, and looks like another current Invicta spin off . . . . make me sit in the corner if you want, but that's where I am on the "Imperious". I even think the name sucks . . .
