Very interesting read it looks like we will be seeing Citizens new accurate to within 1 second per year movement in wrist watches.
Being a big Citizen fan I can't wait to see which watches they will be using this superb movement in.
I just wish they would put a little more focus on the automatic movements as Seiko are way ahead in this field.

You are addressing the choir d_d.
Have 6 Citizens. All EcoDrives. Faves are my Zilla and Primo.
I gave at the office, re: Citizen Autos. I had a Miyota/Citizen
D B with the 9015 movement. Noisiest winding system in any
watch I've owned.
As you well know, their 100 movement went into a pocketwatch.

Am I as big a accuracy freek as I think? Dang tootin. Why buy a
watch that isn't sooper accurate?mIf I'd didn't like accuracy might
as well own a sun dial.

I just gifted a BN0000-04H and regret it. I love the older/smaller Citizen divers.
Citizen has not produced divers for smaller wrists for some time!
No they have not and just as annoying is the majority of Eco-Drives seem to have specialised lugs making strap variations a real pain.

Not a huge fan of the Eco drives. Still think that pocket watch is pretty handsome. If Miyota starts cranking out smartwatch engine's the way they do movement's to third party case manufacturer's this very well could alter the watch industry. We might see hundreds of "smartwatch companies" in not much time at all. Very interesting post. thanks DD.

This is one of my favorites grab-n-go watch that wears smaller than the stated size and one that I have no reservation recommending, especially for the price...

Having a slender wrist myself, I really appreciate the dimensions of this mid-size automatic diver also

Incredibly interesting article, and news Desk ! :smileyface_hand_cla

Citizen just knows how do things right it seems, and they really
don't rest on their laurels at all. ..I mean every year they seem
to surprise us with new creations, along with innovations that
stun us, and they make so may of those innovations available
in regular everyday watches too. Love that !

It's going to be so much fun seeing what they have in store
coming up for all of us in the coming months, and year, or
years Gary. Looks like they are ready for another amazing
100 years !! :clapping-hands-abov

Thanks a ton for finding, and posting about all of this sir !!!

The BN7020 diver and the Altichron Cirrus made it very clear that Citizen was going in a new direction, for me anyway. I’ve owned both and wow that is some fine Japanese style and engineering.

Yes loving that diver, how are you finding the fitted strap on that monster?
I could not wear the fitted straps on either of my Zilla's I found them incredibly uncomfortable. I ended up with both mine on Suppas.
The twins.

Your 200m automatic is a nice size, but no longer available... Today, citizen only produces gigantic dive watches.

What ever possessed Citizen to perform my biggest Citizen gripe?
Producing a Zilla with a 23mm lug size (at least my Zilla is 23mm)
I bought a thick, saddle colored, leather 24mm and used an Exacto
knife to trim 3/4ths mm from each strap end.

And sell a Zilla sans adapters? Dang Suppa adapters cost another
$75.00!!!

Not cheap the Suppas, I purchased 2 sets one of them came with a Titanium bracelet that one cost me £250 or $330 at todays exchange rate. Costing more than double the cost of the Eco-Zilla that I originally purchased it for, this is now on my Auto-Zilla, the bracelet is a real scratch magnet too, no duratect coating on the bracelet, thankfully the the Auto-Zilla is coated. Same thing with most titanium watches/bracelets in my experience unless they are coated they scratch real easily.

On the subject of your gifting, is it a ticket straight to Hades
to be an "Injun Giver"? Gifting and wanting back that one you
wish you'd kept?

That one I scrimped and saved for? Sometimes my generosity
really overwhelms me.Won't I ever learn? Seems likely!
