I've been using Firestone equipment for a while (now a combined 196/24 DAC headphone amp). Perhaps you could check them out: Firestone

So, why cheap?

Do you need more juice to drive those headphones?

I've got a JDS C5 for my planar magnetics and a PA2V2 for use on the road just a a 'beat around' amp because it pairs well with my Brainwave B2's.

At home I'm using a Fiio E10 on my desktop to drive my A2 speakers and any headphone when I'm using it.

Some of the 'altoid' builds are great, I'm not sure if I'd go with the cheapest (depends on the opamp you want). Again, JDS sells some pre-build that have gotten good reviews in the past.

I find that my phone can drive most sets fairly well, which is why I'm asking (the impedance is almost the same as my Brainwavz HM5's, around 65 Ohm, so easy to drive).

Best of luck.
