Hi Casio fans! I recently bought a Casio GPR-100 watch module 2886 with charging stand from our fleamarket in Cape Town. It was a giveaway price, equivalent of $5.
The watch was dead and when I connected my power supply to the 7,5 volt DC socket, the charger drew a very large current (my PSU is current limiting) and the LED didn't light up.
The same happened via the 9 volt battery terminal. I assume the charger is defunct!
I connected the watch directly to my PSU at 6 volts and it came back to life, all functions working.
My question is: What would be the optimum voltage to apply directly to the watch and for what period?
Thank and best wishes from South Africa.
