Casio G-Steel G-Shock Watches

I did a search and could not find that anyone had mentioned the G-Steel G-Shock watches from Casio. These are composite construction watches with steel front and back and a plastic middle section but much thicker and heavier steel than the similar construction less expensive Casio watches. I just received the GST-W110-1AJF model from a Amazon Japanese seller as this is a model with both solar power and Multi Band 6 capabilities not imported by Casio USA for some reason. Quite heavy with the substantial steel parts and much thicker than usual plastic band. Weight is 108 grams. Like virtually all G-Shock watches there are bulges on the sides between the actuating buttons. I believe these are part of the shock absorption system. The center raised portion of the back is machined flat and the info is laser engraved, giving a very nice finished appearance compared to most G-Shock models. Back closure is by the usual Casio 4 screws. The manual is #5444, down loadable from Casio. There is a almost equivalent American imported version but without the Multi Band 6 feature.
