I love them on certain styles of watch. Old school military watches like Benrus and the like look great on them, as well as pilot watches.

They are also great for people with metal allergies. I had a guy in my office who couldn't where watches without using a bund or cuff style strap because he would break out within minutes of a SS case-back or bracelet making contact with his skin.

I've always meant to pick one up for my Dagaz CAV-1 because I think it would look good.

I like em, especially on hockey puck watches whose crowns seem to
have a mission from God to dig into the back of your hand.
In my case, the added material of the band lifts the watch case just high
enuff to avoid digging into the hand. Sometimes a little is a lot!

I've only had one and I liked it on that particular "Officer Field" style watch... It adds to the height of the profile so they work best on watches with a thin profile.

I would try one if I had a smaller wrist. It'll just make my sausage wrist look even bigger.

They also make the diameter of the watch appear larger. Sometimes that's good, and sometimes not so good

Depending on the watch style, they can really add to the "look". (Tudor Heritage Ranger)

They look like something you would see on a Hippie in an old 70's movie.

Nix Nix for me!

Seems as if there is a very diverse opinion of these types of straps.

It depends on the watch, on this one a resounding yea:

On most other watches it just adds an unwanted 70s touch :D
