band came apart at the non removable link. Are the non removable links held with loctite or secured some other way

Hmm...

Do you have a vise? you might be able to clamp that bad boy back together again. The "non-removable" links look like they are pressure fitted.

Maybe put some Loctite on prior to clamping too...
