Bremont, the British luxury watch manufacturer, is delighted to announce the opening of its first standalone store in the US. The boutique, which is planned to open in early spring 2015, is located in the newly refurbished and historic 501 Madison Avenue in midtown Manhattan, and at the heart of New York’s luxury district.








The Bremont boutique will be positioned on the ground floor in a retail space of 900sq ft with additional space on the first floor covering 860sq ft where a dedicated Bremont service centre will house trained watchmakers,
helping to look after the ever-increasing US retailer base. The watch boutique, which represents an important milestone for Bremont, has been carefully designed and fitted to elegantly showcase the brand’s collection of
beautifully engineered mechanical timepieces. The boutique is laid out to tell Bremont’s story alongside that of its key partnerships. A framed Jaguar exhibit will sit alongside a hand finished leather wall which has a Bremont
movement beautifully embossed on it. The Boeing partnership will be highlighted by videos on a transparent LCD screen which also incorporates the product, and a signature Martin-Baker ejector seat will also be on display.

Nick English, Co-Founder of Bremont: “We saw New York, and more importantly Madison Avenue, as a really essential string to our North American bow and a fantastic brand showcase as we continue to expand our retail channel. The US is already a big market for Bremont with a large proportion of our military business hailing from there. Moving forward the US is a very significant and crucial part of the brand’s strategy and we want to support our clients and retailer base on this side of the Atlantic as best we can. Bremont first arrived in the US in 2008 and we continue to be humbled by the level of support we have received from the American people. ”All of the interior structure of the boutique has been redesigned to reflect Bremont’s unique story and luxury heritage, apart from the existing marble floor, which is being restored by local craftsmen and was the original foyer of the building. With a palette of black wood, chrome and fine leather the design aims to be simple and elegant, enhancing the watches and highlighting the excellence in manufacture and precision craftsmanship.

The main displays which flank the front area of the store are framed in chrome and are incorporated into wood panelling. Each front of store display will be dedicated to a Bremont core range, whilst the rear is a relaxed area dedicated to Bremont partnerships. Elements of the watches have been incorporated into the design with the fixture handles being modified straps and cabinet handles replicating Bremont’s distinctive barrel.

A traditional fireplace and seating area is a place for customers to relax. The centerpiece of this area is a bespoke coffee table incorporating hundreds of Bremont watch parts that showcases the complexity and number of components needed to produce a mechanical watch.

Furthermore the new boutique will enable Bremont to support its enormously popular Bremont Adventurers Club (BAC) in the US, where ambassadors and friends of the brand share their experiences with interested Bremont.

Boutiques (regardless of brand) are great for window shopping (and free coktails once in a while ;) ) in my book.
A welcome a sign the brand is doing well nonetheless and Bremont is an excellent brand....
