I'm glad I went for the shipping savings. It hurt a little seeing others get there watches already but I survived the week just fine.
The watch arrived today and it was a little scary with what I would call economy packaging (both the watch box and the padded envelope that it was shipped in. Fortunately, the watch itself is really quite nice. Its not a stunning fabulous type of watch at all but it is very nice and could easily be worn regularly. Its fairly light weight and I'm thinking of wearing it on my morning runs, for example. Its a whole lot nicer than a Casio for that purpose anyway.
Its a perfect 44/22 and about 14mm size (if my memory and eyeballing it is correct). The 9015 is purring along just as it should. I really like the brown leather (although it is very thin and light weight, so not everyone will love that) and buckle that it also came with and have a use for that right away with another watch. I think it looked fine on the black rubber that it was shipped on but I'm lucky to have a 22mm iso in orange so I slapped her on pretty quickly. It really changes the watch a lot with the orange strap and it plays well off the grey dial with orange and white markers. It also just makes it a lot more fun to wear, I think.
Thank you, Borealis for the drilled lugs! Other points to note that I like a lot are the shroud like cover over the bezel, the smooth action of the bezel and crown, the 4 position of the crown and the BGW9 lume. Well done, Borealis and great bang for buck here. I'm very glad I ordered this and it was worth the wait. It was even fun having some anticipation and I look forward to doing more pre orders with them in the future as well.
Here are some pics on the black rubber and then on the orange iso I put on. It looks like a perfect orange match so I'm pretty sure that iso is going to sit right where it is.
