Just curious who loves substantial feels like a tank type divers?
i see Budabear post daily in WUWR these cherished monolithic pieces (wish i could pull off) & i have a Deep Blue Juggernaut II that absolutely rocks, i lovelove it, but i've never-ever pulled it off comfortably (small framed) thus it rests neglected albeit looking the part.

I like larger watches but not in the U-Boat or even bigger (fantasy Russian 'divers') category. My Deep Blue Juggernaut II is a bit over the edge although it still wears comfortably. My Helson CH1 is about my limit. On rubber or leather it can be worn, on the matching bracelet it becomes too heavy. My preferable watch size is up to 44mm.

A lot of the divers watches in my rotation have some serious wrist presence, but none more than the ones below.
The Zilla's in my opinion need adapters I have both mine on Suppas, as I found the screwed in stock rubber to be very uncomfortable and far too lightweight for the watches stature.
I also have a custom titanium bracelet that I mainly wear on the Auto-Zilla. At the moment out of these three the Helm Khuraburi is a firm favourite.

Here's another I haven't worn in a long time -

This may sound a little weird but I like that watch and I don't know why. The French people say it best jenesequa.

i bumped a couple old threads because this particular Vic is often on my mind. Happened upon it at a jewelers a couple years ago and loved it, everything about it even the girth, like a tank. That evening here andrema had posted this thread... https://www.watchfreeks.com/32-daily-watch-deals/221049-great-deal-vsa-dive-master-500-a.html ...

since then i've often thought of it but never pursued it because of its height, assuming it'd be the lonely companion of Deep Blue Juggar II. Wrist time for "better/nicer" pieces is limited because work and lifestyle. This's why i posed the ?, that and to mingle thoughts.

Definitely love them AW, but unfortunately my wrist is just too small
to enjoy them. :(

It's a shame too because so many of the designs are phenomenal !!!
So always wish that the models were made available in multiple sizes ! :)
However, even those are often too large for me. But, yeah think big
dive watches are just awesome !

I found the screw in OEM Zilla strap to be very uncomfortable too.
Stiff and unpliable to the max.
Installed Suppa Adapters and mounted a think Hadley Roma strap.
More comfortable than any Victer Russkie diver I owned.
But will admit Etal Loya's Corduba Ibiza wears comfortably. Have it
on leather too.

I and my SIL Mark both have 8" + wrists so big watches not so much
an issue.

My wrist is just shy of 8" so the larger watches no problem for me either. Suppas are the only way to go for the Zillas, even on the Auto-Zilla which was way more expensive they still used the same horrible strap set up.
I found the OEM strap incredibly uncomfortable, so much so that I stopped wearing them until I received the Suppas.
I think it is the fitted rubber straps in general for me as I have flipped countless G Shocks for the same reason.
A while ago I purchased a Scurfa Bell Diver, that too was on a fitted rubber, tried it for a couple of hours and that had to come off too.
Bracelets or isofrane style rubber is the norm for me now.

My next one will be pretty chunky
What's next chunky riz?
The Dievas looks good, big too.

I love the Deep Blue Juggers too. That is definitely my cut-off though. 6.75" at the skinny. It's all i could do not to buy a the new Juggernaut last weekend. Still killing me, i'd love the black one with that SW200 auto. i'm holding out for the right stem wind field or pilot; i think.

My biggest diver is my Citizen Excalibur. I don't wear it as much simply because it is on the bigger side.
I do love this watch though and wear it every now and then. I love the look, the toughness, accuracy, fit and finish, and the Eco-Drive.
Simply a great grab-n-go piece.
The bracelet with extension comes handy in my outings...

Excalibur

Said to be a 41mm case but it wears much bigger, more like a 44mm in my estimation.

The unusual 23mm lug width would be a PITA to mess around with so I just kept it on the bracelet.
Thank goodness it is a good one.

The legibility is awesome, day and night...

Being a diver, I have no problem dunking this watch every now and then...

It may be big but it's good looking enough for work or play IMHO...

While I'm not a fan of the diver type there are a few that do appeal to me. As far as chunky monkeys I got big arms so big watches work for me. Most of mine are 40-42mm and they all feel small on my wrist.
