Long before watches, it was classic cars. Currently I have three Corvettes: a 1968, a 1973 and a 1964. I have on order a 2023. Also have a 1968 Mercury Cougar & few Lincolns from the 70's. Along with the cars, I collect tools.

Come on folks, we need proof pics.

For many years I dabbled with firearms - I still have many of them.
But when ammo (feed) became scare/ expensive I started collecting pocket knives - mostly from Benchmade.

What an absolutely awesome topic, as well as question Stan !!! 🏆🥇

Right now I am just into watches, although I don’t get many to
tell the truth. 😊 My whole life I have also been a HUGE Star Wars
fan though too, and starting collecting back when I was just a
kid in the 70’s. ✨..I haven’t gotten too much recently, but SW
is or has always been a passion of mine.

I have collected all mini game consoles that were available bar two (the latest SEGA Megadrive Mini 2 and a ColecoVision homage), with two Japanese imports. Prices have exploded since, much to my surprise. I have several others (not on display and made by AtGames), among which an Atari homage. It all started with NES and others, like Sony, followed suit. I own close to 800 books and 34 vintage viewfinder cameras and several Bolex clockwork cameras. I left out four display cases with pocket knives and a lot of other stuff......

I remember as a kid collecting stamps, matchbox cars, bullet casings, coins, sports cards... Tapes, CDs...

But I can't say that I have been much of a collector since then. All my adult life, untill 3 years ago, ii have lived on small sailboats where my space had been very limited. I guess I do have an excellent collection of immigration and customs paperwork, legal tender, maps and brochures rom all the countries I sailed through, but it's all stuffed away in a bag...
Watch and clock collecting is new to me, and with 3 kids running wild around the house, even having that collection on display feels precarious.

I am enjoying seeing your other collections very much. Thank you for sharing.

Do I remember correctly that you also collect war time bomber jackets?

I did, high end replicas of pilot jackets from the period between 1938 and 1958. They have become prohibitively expensive. The best makers are British and Japanese. The Rough Wear A-2 I purchased over 12 years ago for $650 (sleeves shortened, patch and nameplate attached) is over $1300 now. So now I pass.

Frans, a few years ago I found an old camera box thing on a job. I knew you collected so I kept it, at least I planned to, but I don't know what I did with it. I meant to mention it back then, but you know how life and here time can get...I forgot about it. When I saw your thread I remembered the thing. I just set a reminder on my stupid phone to look for it tonight. I doubt it's a gem, but you may appreciate it. I'll keep you posted.
