Oh yea Jeff! But first, both teams need to get to the finals. Then?? I will own "Rebo"!!! :%:%Well I bet if it comes down to the Flyers and Blackhawks. There will be a litter wager between Arnie and Rebo !!!!!:cSince Boston is out....GO FLYERS!!!!!
Jeff
Hmmmmmmm! So Duchess, what are your ties to Philly if you don't mind me asking? Me? I lived there and had a business on Broad Street for most of my life. So ties are still strong. I actuallyhad season tickets to the Flyers when they were "The Broad Street Bullies" and one back to back Stanley Cups in 74 & 75! Great years! I remember the Phillies "fold" of 1964, the 70's when the Dodgers would keep us from getting to the World Series. One of the greatest moments in Phillies history........ 1980 when Tug McGraw struck out Willie Wilson with the bases loaded to win it all!!! I almost had a stroke I was so outta control, LOL!!! Much more as well. And you???Let's go Flyers..Let's go !...I can mentally hear the thundering roar of all the fans shouting that...Are you all aware that there are no fans in the entire country that are quite like the fans of a Philly sports team ?...We take the cake..without a doubt.
Soooooooooo................... I guess you're not going to endorse the HBO Documentary that is playing this week on none other than "The Broad Street Bullies"!!! We'll miss ya Bro!!! :%:%:%Can't stand those Broad street Bullies.....This stems back to the 70's when Dave sh#+ head Shultz played (well we'll just say he played)the game.He was the biggest dirt bag in the sport,as well as Bobby Clarke(who I met at MSG,N.Y.)Nice guy off the ice.But on the ice he was another dirty player who got away with murder. So being a N.Y. Rangers fan I will never root for any Flyers teams ever.....Go Habs Go......I want the Blackhawks to take it all.Sorry Duch.We finally have a glitch on our other wise clean slate. But I still luv ya...k
In my sleep Duchess!! In my sleep!!! :c:c:bArnie ! You must know how to do the Mummers strut then ! Right ?
Man, I'm sorry to hear about that Bro. I won't even try to defend such ludicrous and low life actions. Unfortunately, it can happen anywhere though. I had a bad experience with an Eagles fan many years ago and I was a Philly boy/Eagles fan! Some guys are just looking for trouble. The way of the world these days. I don't blame you one bit for how you feel and I would'a done the same thing in that situation if it dictated it.Sorry, I can't support Philly fans. I almost had a very bad experience a few years back at a Tampa Bay Bucs / Eagles game. I was at a game and was walking back to my car to put some chairs in my truck when I noticed about six eagles fans were following me. By the time I got back to my car they had closed the distance between us and started to call things out to me and trying to intimidate me. They were continuing to close on me. Lucky for them some Bucs fans came along and chased them away, As I was putting my chairs away I grabbed my .45 and was ready to defend myself. I also had an HK 93 in my trunk with about 200 rounds preloaded into mags. It would have gotten real bad for them real fast if they tried to push things. ( FYI the gun range I belong to is about 1 mile from the stadium down here and I often go to the range after a game. I don't normally roll with an arsenal in my trunk but, I do have a permit to carry)
I've never been but, I've certainly heard about it & that is the kind of thing I would enjoy doing !Have you ever taken the time to go down to the Reading Terminal Farmer's Market?
I'll map out the itinerary for your day for you. Morning..... down to Independance Hall and The Liberty Bell. Take your time and take it in. Head over to Reading Terminal for lunch. You'll need time to go through and check out the many vendors there. Yes, you will enjoy it! After........... over to the Art Museum for whatever exhibit is there.Be sure to head up the East River Drive (think they change the name) to catch a first hand glimpse of Boat House Row. Park and enjoy the Schullkyll River, park and recreation there. Very laid back and relaxing!arnie11 wrote:I've never been but, I've certainly heard about & that is the kind of thing I would enjoy doing !Have you ever taken the time to go down to the Reading Terminal Farmer's Market?
I'm sorry to hear that...I'm quite aware of the reputation we have &I say we because I guess I have to accept the bad if I'm accepting the good...I'm a lover not a fighter though so, I promise to never try to put the smack down on you.I almost had a very bad experience a few years back at a Tampa Bay Bucs / Eagles game.
I've been to the museum, you know I had to run up the steps & do the Rocky thing. Would East River Dr. be Kelly Dr. now ? I like Philly a lot but, the guys that run up to me at the stop lights & want to wash my windows freak me the hell out.
