It is used to connect two canals on two different levels for Barges to traverse.

The walk of faith, love it. Tried to see it when I was in Vegas for a conference. Completed the tour at Hoover Dam (amazing) and made the mistake of thinking that the sky walk was some 250 miles further on into the Grand Canyon. Drove for hours only to be told by a Park Ranger that the walk was only 50 miles from Hoover Dam! DOH!!! Got stopped by Highway Patrol for speeding, presented my UAE Driving License (in Arabic) and got off with a warning haha. Missed the cut off the highway for Vegas and took the next one. Stopped at railway crossing for 30 minutes whilst a freight train trundled by. Hit Vegas at 4:30 am and went and got drunk.![]()
