Just got the "Baby Tuna", seems to run around -1 second per day, does that sound acceptable? I'd prefer it gain rather than lose.
Thanks!

Brad:
minus 1 sec pd?

Count yer blessings Freek. According to Wikipedia, COSC standards are plus 4 secs
pd. And minus 6 secs pd.
Your minus 1 secs accuracy is better than 97% of Swiss watches. 3% of Swiss made
watches (again according to Wikipedia) dont meet COSC standards.

You are ahead of the game

I thought for sure you were just joking with that question. I doubt you'd find many watches and even with cosc certification doing much better than that. Maybe a Bulova Precisionist can top that but thats a maybe.

Ok ok, it was actually a dumb question; I do know that not even a COSC mechanical movement is accurate to one second. The reason I asked, I guess, is I read somewhere Seiko tends to set their movements to run a bit fast as opposed to slow.

Yeah, losing a few seconds is certainly not worth messing with, though I would favor gain over loss.
