So this morning I was rudely awoken by the Postman at 07:10 with a Special Delivery, my new Baume & Mercier Classima 8692! I've had my eye on this for quite a while now and finally went for it.
My watch box is inundated with divers, but I wanted something dressier for work and I love it even more now I've seen it in the flesh. The blued hands are stunning imo, and the chronograph works with a really satisfying 'snap!'.
Here are the headline stats if anyone's interested:
Baume & Mercier Classima 8692
Movement: Valjoux 7750
Diameter: 42mm (without crown)
Depth: 13.25mm
Lug to Lug: 51mm
Lug Width: 22mm
Strap: 22/20mm
The only thing I'm a little surprised about is how loud the rotor is when the watch is winding itself. You can hear it across a quiet room and you can definitely feel it on your wrist. I'm not sure if this is common for this movement, or perhaps it's just this watch(?).
Anyway, enough of my wittering - TO THE PICTURES!
